Sliced bread thick or thin, rolls large or small, hearth loaves slightly irregular... The aroma of bread as it's baking is almost, almost, better than eating it! If you grew up eating homemade bread, store bought bread may have seemed like a treat, but if not, that first lovely homemade loaf of bread is far more than a treat, it's almost the best thing you have ever eaten.

Cathy's Favorite Pizza DoughThis recipe is easy to make and the dough can be made up ahead, kept in the fridge to retard growth and then used later. You can make pizzas one day using part of the dough and then pull the remainder of the dough out a few days later and make pizza again.
Hosting a party and want to serve individual pizzas? Make this dough up a couple of days in advance, freeing up the day of to make other things. |

Butternut Squash KnotsThis recipe is based on a loaf bread recipe from hefe-und-mehr's blog https://www.hefe-und-mehr.de/en/ I love this blog and my German is improving, as long as we are talking baking that is.
This recipe is not hard to make! Really! It does take a little extra time but it is so worth it!
If you are not used to weighing out ingredients this recipe may help you see how convenient it is! And, if dealing with grams is an unusual thing practice helps so make these rolls several times. Your metric skills will increase and your family and friends will happily eat the rolls! |

Slovenian Beer Bread |

Is it a sour dough bread or not? Well, because it is actually leavened with yeast I put it here but I also put it in the sourdough section because of the sourdough starter and if I had a beer section I just might have put it there. This is a sublime bread, you have to try it!
