This blend of spices for cakes is listed in a cook book from the late 1800's. I love it in a lemon cake mix, it adds a richness to a boxed mix and is lovely in a scratch recipe! Try it in a lemon, chocolate or a white/yellow cake batter. This blend is also wonderful in a muffin or other quick bread!
