There are so many kinds of cookies and most of us have our favorites. Drop cookies, bar cookies, refrigerator cookies and more...
I like to use a cookie scoop when forming most of my cookies. A uniform size helps insure even baking. And when you need to form a ball, there is less mess than when you roll them in your hands. I make up a batch or two of cookie dough in my spare time, dropping them onto a plastic wrap covered pan or large Tupperware lid and pop them into the freezer unbaked. Once frozen, I put them in a zip-style bag or Tupperware and label the container with what kind of cookie, how hot of an oven and how long to bake them. Pull the cookie dough of your choice out of the freezer, pre-heat the oven and cook just the number you want to eat or serve. Hot fresh cookies when you may not have time to mix them up and just the right amount to serve at the time! |
