Have you ever wondered about these things? I seemed to have needed this info off and on my whole cooking life. Which seems like forever! Below is a list of ingredients that I routinely check on. I add things to this list as they come up. Last addition 4/24/18

Keep in mind that fluid ounces are based on water and many items that we cook with do not weigh the same amount as the equivalent volume of water, so an ounce of peanut butter doesn't have the same volume of water (1 cup of water weighs 8 oz and 1 cup of peanut butter weighs 8 1/2 oz). So read carefully, do the instructions tell you to measure or to weigh out the ingredient?
